Wonderfully put in words so many of the feelings and thoughts I have had when knitting or playing with yarn....gosh, I am so grateful for this book. Now I shall order 5 to pass out to worthy recipients.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02998164280292222088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3324448.post-45813815030237091012013-11-13T16:36:16.258-05:002013-11-13T16:36:16.258-05:00Oh, oh, oh...last time I had the pleasure of a Cox...Oh, oh, oh...last time I had the pleasure of a Cox's Orange Pippin was well over 40 yrs ago. I picked it from the grass under the tree it had fallen from, cleaned it off on my shorts and ate it. It used to be my favorite type of apple when I could get it, which was usually when we went to, or I took the local bus to Nana's house. It was from her small orchard, in a hamlet, in Northern England. Not that long after we emigrated to the US, and so no more Cox's Pippin's. Not a one to be found here. No one had ever heard of it and I stopped asking about it. Wow. This is so cool, especially if it's an heirloom strain! Enjoy...I think they are the greatest! <br />--elizaduckieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3324448.post-28153976125090352572013-10-01T22:32:16.500-04:002013-10-01T22:32:16.500-04:00Made this tonight with peaches. I went to Iceland with you last year, and was probably the worst knitter on the tour but thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to reading your book. I have purchased it as a Christmas present to myself. I have a great photo of you and the beautiful rainbow when we were on the Snaefellsjokull Pennisula which I would be more than happy to forward to you. I also blog at dustoffurthinkin.blogspot.com Sincerely, Linda SchellengerLinzlehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04146475500112980226noreply@blogger.com
